How do I use a Cart to buy something?

Click any Add to Cart button to put an item in your Cart. Once you've finished selecting items, the checkout process guides you through the steps required to process your order for shipment.

 

How do I view my Cart?

Click the View Cart link on the upper right side of the page to view your Cart. You will see a summary of all items currently in the Cart, a running dollar total and other data about the item(s) in the Cart.

 

How do I add products to my Cart?

If you're browsing or searching, all results pages display Add to Cart buttons.

If you have landed on a Product Detail page with all the technical detail about a product, you will also find an Add to Cart button.

If you're on the Wish List page, each Wish List has an Add to Cart button.

Finally, on the Cart page itself, you can add individual items using the Add Product by Item # box. Enter the Item # in the box and click Go.

 

How do I know what's in my Cart?

The View Cart section at the top of the page shows you the number of unique items in your Cart and the subtotal of the order (before shipping & handling and taxes). Click on the "View Cart" link to see more detail. Anytime you add an item to your Cart, you will see a notification page with all the details for your active Cart.

 

What information is on the Cart page?

Items in your Cart are listed in a grid. The data includes a subtotal for the order, a way to choose shipping carriers, applicable shipping & handling charges and taxes and the final total. Click on the Continue Shopping link to return to the Home page or click the Checkout button to begin the checkout process.

Other data, links and buttons on the Cart page include:

·  Remove deletes an item from your Cart.

·  Update Qty. updates the totals in the grid when you change the quantity of an item in your cart.

·  Item # is a number unique to Technology Paradise Corporation. It is NOT the same as the Mfr. Part #.

·  Mfr. Part # displays the Manufacturer's part number. It is NOT the same as the Item#.

·  Ship Weight shows the combined weight of the product and packaging. Please note: This number differs from the weight displayed on the Product Detail page, which is the actual weight of the product itself, without packaging.

 

What are promotional (promo) codes?

A promotion code allows you to redeem a special promotional offer online during checkout. If you meet the promotion code requirements, a discount or other promotional terms will be applied to your order. This code is a string of letters and numbers that can be entered at checkout in order to receive a discount or other special promotional offer.

 

What is the State Environmental fee added to my order?

The State of California has enacted California law SB 50, which requires collection of a State Environmental Fee at the point of sale for certain electronic products shipped to California, beginning January 1, 2005.

Products Affected: Under SB 50 regulations, the following products are subject to this fee:

  • Notebook computers
  • CRT and LCD monitors
  • CRT TVs with a screen size greater than 4 inches
  • LCD TVs, plasma TVs and plasma monitors (on orders shipped beginning July 1, 2005)

Invoicing and Fees: For all orders placed on or after January 1, 2005, we will apply the appropriate fees to your invoice for each applicable product shipped to a California address. The fees are:

  • $6 per device (screen size greater than 4" but less than 15")
  • $8 per device (screen size 15" to 35")
  • $10 per device (screen size greater than 35")

Can I remove an item from my Cart?

Yes. Each line item in your cart has a Remove button. Click it to remove that item only.

 

How do I add more than one of the same item to my Cart?

On the Cart page, change the number in the Quantity column. Then click the Update Qty button at the bottom of the screen.

 

After viewing my Cart, what if I want to buy more items or continue browsing?

Click on the "Continue Shopping" link at the bottom left of the page.

 

What are Related Products?

We often recommend items that are intended for use with the products you're considering; these are Related Products and you will see them in two places. On the Product Detail page, you can add related items to your Cart by Add to Cart button next to the desired product. When adding a product to your Cart from other areas of the site, its Related Products will be displayed for your review along with a summary of what is in your Cart. Simply click the Add To Cart button to add any of these items to your Cart.

 

I'm done shopping and ready to check out. What do I do?

If you've just added a product to your Cart and are on the Cart page, click Checkout. From elsewhere on the site, click View Cart in the left-hand navigation bar.

The path through checkout may vary somewhat based on the characteristics of your account. There are three essential steps in the checkout process: Shipping, Billing and Verify.

 

Checkout Step 1: Select a Shipping Address

Select a shipping address from your list of addresses. If this is your first purchase, or you need to add a new address, click Add New Address and fill in the required address information.

When you have selected address you want for shipping your order, click Go.

International Orders: Our web site is not currently configured to support international addresses or currency.

·  Checkout Step 2 - Billing

Use the Billing Information page to indicate how you want to pay for your order. Your available payment options (credit card) are determined by your account setup.

·  If you have a credit-card only account setup you'll be prompted to create a new credit card on your first checkout; simply fill out all of the required fields.

·  If you saved a credit card during a previous checkout but would like to use a different one, click the Add New Credit Card button and fill out all of the required fields.

·  To use an existing credit card, select the credit card name from the drop-down list and enter your CID #.

Once you've defined your payment method, click Go.

Checkout Step 4: Verify Your Order

Use the Verify page to verify that all the data associated with your order is correct.

·  Verify your order contents, payment method, shipping address and shipping method. To make changes, click on the corresponding Modify link. After making your changes, click Continue Checkout to return to the Order Verification page.

·  Add shipping label or receipt page notes if you wish in the Receipt Page Notes box.

When you are satisfied with your order, click Submit Order to complete the checkout process. Double check the resulting Order Receipt page, which you can print for your records. An e-mail confirmation of your order will also be sent.

 

What are the Shipping Label Notes?

Use the Shipping Label Notes field to enter any additional information for the shipping carrier that will clarify how you want the order delivered (for example, "2nd Floor", or "Use West Entrance." This field is limited to 60 characters.

 What is the CID?

The CID is the three- or four-digit security code on your American Express, Discover, MasterCard or Visa credit card. We ask for your CID to verify that the order is being placed by you and to detect any fraudulent use of your card. Locate the CID on your card as shown below:

Four-digit code located on the front, just above and to the right of your credit card number.

 

 

Discover/Novus

Three-digit code located on the back in the signature box, following the 16-digit credit card number.

MasterCard

Three-digit code located on the back in the signature box, following the 16-digit credit card number.

 

Visa

Three-digit code located on the back in the signature box, following the 16-digit credit card number.

 

How does my CID protect me?

Because CIDs are not raised, they are not scanned into standard credit card readers. Effectively, these numbers are visible only to you. When you give your CID to a merchant, you help the merchant verify that the order is being placed by you, the card-holder.

 

Why do I need my CID when I place and order online?

We require you to enter your CID whenever you use a credit card to place an order online. This helps us to detect any fraudulent use of your card — well before your account is charged. This helps to enhance the security of the ordering process. If your CID is missing or invalid, you may receive a call from our Credit Department to verify your order.

 

 

How do I print out key pages?

Key pages, including the checkout screens and the Order Confirmation page, may be formatted for ease of printing. Just click on the link for the Printer icon. The site will redisplay the page in a printer-friendly format. If you experience problems with standard 8.5" x 11" paper, try setting the output (usually under Page Setup in your printer's dialogue box) from Portrait to Landscape. We display printer-friendly pages in pop-up windows. To return to the site, simply close the window after printing.

 

How can I track an order?

Click the Order Tracking/History link at the top of the page. The Order Tracking/History page allows you to quickly look up phone orders while providing a complete history of all your web orders.

Where can I find rebate forms?

Rebate forms for TechPalooza Corporation purchases are available only online. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to access the form. There are two ways to find your rebate form:

  • Choose the rebate link(s) found in the right-hand column of the product detail page to go directly to the rebate offer page.

Or

  • Go to the online Rebate Center and use the rebate locator to search for the rebate by our TechPalooza Corporation item number or by Manufacturer part number. Applicable rebates will be listed below it.

 

What documentation do I need to get a rebate?

You’ll find the required documentation listed on your rebate form. Be sure to read this form carefully. Make and keep copies of all documentation for your records.

Rebate requirements vary, but there are generally 3 common components:

  • The UPC (Universal Product Code), which is located on the product packaging. In some cases, the terms of the rebate may require a serial number label instead of a UPC. Be sure to read the form carefully for these requirements.
  • A completed rebate form
  • A copy or original proof of purchase or invoice clearly showing your eligible date of purchase as defined on the rebate form. IMPORTANT: A print of your order confirmation page, e-mail or shipment confirmation e-mail is NOT a proof of purchase.

What if my product is backordered?

If you placed your order during the eligible time frame, the actual ship date may affect your eligibility. Check all dates on the form and proof of purchase to ensure your eligibility, including the postmark date.

 

Can I send in more than one rebate request in a single mailing?

If the terms of the promotion allow for more than one rebate per person or household, and only if you are sending in multiple claims for the same offer. If you are sending in claims for separate offers, they need to be mailed in separate envelopes, even if they are going to the same address.

 

Can I submit a copy of my UPC Code?

Although most rebate offers require an original UPC to be submitted, there are some offers that will allow a copy. Be sure to read these requirements carefully before mailing your rebate materials. In most cases, you may not be eligible for more than one offer.

 

How long will it take to get my rebate?

After receiving your rebate submission, the rebate fulfillment center may take up to 12 weeks to process and mail your claim. Please review the rebate form to determine the time frame in which your rebate will be processed.

 

How do I check the status of my rebate?

Before checking the status of your rebate:

  • In most cases, you’ll need to wait at least 6-8 weeks from the time you sent in your rebate form.
  • Have your rebate form and proof of purchase handy.
  • Please check the rebate form for directions on how to check the status of your rebate. Most forms have a web link and/or a toll-free number for rebate status.
